This HTML streaming video player was developed for teamVision, TELUS’ award-winning weekly employee broadcast that was streamed out using Windows Media. While the design was provided by a Graphic Designer, I was responsible for all code upgrades, video encoding and transcoding, supporting slide graphic processing and synchronization and content management for almost 3 years. TELUS scope is one of TELUS’ external B2B marketing vehicles. I was responsible for the coding of this HTML interface as well as Windows Media video encoding and transcoding, supporting slide graphics processing and manipulation and content management. As this vehicle was delivered both internally on the TELUS LAN and externally over the Internet, we developed an IP address sniffer so that people within would get a stream from a LAN server and external viewers would be served up a stream from an Internet-based CDN. This HTML Windows Media streaming video player interface was developed to deliver ads and TELUS TV trailer content to both TELUS LAN and Internet-facing viwers. The IP address sniffer described above was also used with this player for the sake of efficiency.
